About Phuket Marathon
The Laguna Phuket Marathon is an event to remember! Not only is it the largest sporting event in Phuket, Thailand, but it is also a highly-regarded marathon by participants from all around the world. With high attention and meticulous planning to meet international standards, this event has achieved certification by the IAAF AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Distance Races) since its very first year. This prestigious recognition has further qualified the Laguna Phuket Marathon to become a pathway to the illustrious Boston Marathon, attracting professionals and running enthusiasts alike from all corners of the globe. A 42.195 km (26.219 miles) race that is the ultimate test of a runner’s physical and mental endurance. Often requires months of preparation.

Please note that age groups are based on year of birth. A runner’s age is determined by 2024 minus birth year.

HALF MARATHON

A 21.1 km (13.1 miles) race that serves as both a challenge and a preparatory step for those aspiring to complete a full marathon.
- Male: 16-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over
- Female: 16-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over
Please note that age groups are based on year of birth. A runner’s age is determined by 2024 minus birth year.

MARATHON RELAY
Sunday, 9 June 2024 - (Morning)
A team-oriented marathon where each member runs a segment of the full 42.195 km. The baton is passed from one runner to the next. (4 runners per team)

HALF MARATHON
Sunday, 9 June 2024 - (Morning)
A 21.1 km (13.1 miles) race that serves as both a challenge and a preparatory step for those aspiring to complete a full marathon.
- Experienced runners only.
- The runner should have completed at least a marathon distance before.
- The runner has to be fit and healthy.
- The runner must finish within the cut-off time of 9½ hours. Cut off process at the check points during the race will apply.
10 KM
Saturday, 8 June 2024 - (Morning)
A moderate 10 km race that’s suitable for beginners looking to challenge themselves or more experienced runners seeking to improve their speed.
- Male: 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over
- Female: 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & over

A 2 km event designed for children to promote physical activity and to introduce them to the joy of running in a fun and relaxed environment.

The Pasta Party brings together runners, families, and friends on the eve of the Marathon offering a five-star buffet meal that will get the taste buds excited at Laguna Phuket. As well as a carbo-loading exercise, the Pasta Party is a chance for fellow runners to meet and share interesting stories.
Tickets to the party are included in the overseas entry fees for marathon and half marathon runners. All other runners and any non-running companions may purchase tickets online during the registration process or at the door of the event.
